The University of Queensland (UQ) has been recognised with a SAGE Cygnet Award for its progress towards gender equity, diversity, and inclusion.

This document highlights UQ’s work to address gaps in policy and practice that limited visibility, awareness, and support for transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) staff by embedding inclusive policies, strengthening workplace culture, and enhancing visibility of LGBTQIA+ inclusion, with the goal of fostering a safer, more affirming environment for staff and students.
