Whether you’re an individual or an organisation, you can help us make a real difference to gender equity, diversity and inclusion. Here’s how you can support SAGE.

Participate in SAGE events

The easiest way to support a SAGE event is to attend one! We run a range of webinars and workshops throughout the year. You can also propose a collaborative event with SAGE.

We occasionally seek sponsors for SAGE conferences, symposia and awareness-raising events.

Check our Events page for upcoming events and sponsorship opportunities.

Follow us on social media

Keep up with our news and activities on Twitter and LinkedIn. Every like, follow and share helps us spread our message and keeps gender equity, diversity and inclusion at the forefront of people’s minds.

Subscribe to our newsletters

Find out what’s happening at SAGE and in our subscriber institutions by subscribing to our newsletters. We have three to choose from:

  • SAGE Capacity Building (monthly) for tips on good practice in gender equity, diversity and inclusion
  • SAGE Updates (quarterly) on what’s new with the SAGE program, activities and strategic collaborations
  • Webinar Alerts for notifications of upcoming SAGE webinars and newly released recordings. Please note that you’ll have to be a staff member or student at a SAGE subscriber institution to attend or watch most webinars.

Want to know what you’re getting before you sign up? Check out our past issues.

Present a webinar

Our capacity building webinars help SAGE subscribers learn about key issues and good practice in gender equity, diversity and inclusion. If you’re a researcher in this area, or have learnings from your own initiative(s), we would love for you to share your knowledge with our network.

Feel free to contact us to propose a webinar.

Involve us in your research

Are you planning or conducting research in gender equity, diversity and inclusion? If your project can help SAGE subscribers create systemic change, let’s discuss how SAGE can support you in carrying out your research or sharing your findings.

Share a resource

Do you have a success story or example of good practice that our subscribers should know about? Have you created a useful resource that could be shared with the sector? Send it to us or write an article for our blog.

Support the SAGE Athena Swan process in your organisation

If you belong to a SAGE subscriber institution and want to contribute to their SAGE journey, it’s best to get in touch with the person(s) managing the SAGE Athena Swan initiative at your institution. Their contact details are usually listed on the institution’s website as part of a page on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion or Athena Swan.

If you’re having trouble finding the right person, drop us a message and we’ll connect you with them.

Review applications for SAGE awards

All applications for SAGE accreditation, including Athena Swan Awards and Cygnet Awards, are assessed through an independent peer review process.

As a peer reviewer, you’ll contribute to the rigour and integrity of our assessment process. If you belong to a privileged group, your participation means that the burden of gender equity, diversity and inclusion work does not fall solely on members of underrepresented and/or marginalised groups.

Tell your senior leaders about the benefits of SAGE

Change can start at any level. Encourage your senior leaders to consider joining SAGE by sharing our Information Pack – or better yet, set up an appointment so we can discuss with them how SAGE can help your organisation achieve its gender equity, diversity and inclusion goals.

Donate

Gender equity, diversity and inclusion is essential to the success of the tertiary education and research sector. If you agree that gender equity is non-optional, especially as we build back better in the wake of COVID-19, you can make a donation to keep it on the sector’s agenda.

Your donation helps us deliver training, develop resources, promote knowledge-sharing within and beyond the sector, and bring more institutions on the SAGE journey. Please note that donations to SAGE are not currently tax-deductible.

Contact us to discuss how.
