SAGE Limited is pleased to welcome Dr Janin Bredehoeft as the organisation’s new Chief Executive Officer.

A well-respected and influential leader, Dr Bredehoeft will bring a wealth of experience and strategic capabilities in gender equity policy, research and education to SAGE Limited.

Libby Lyons, Chair of SAGE Ltd, welcomes Dr Bredehoeft as CEO.

“Dr Bredehoeft will be an incredible asset to SAGE. Her advocacy, leadership and achievements position her well to grow SAGE’s impact and influence nationally and internationally,” Lyons said.

Dr Bredehoeft plays a key role in unlocking the potential of WGEA’s world leading dataset building collaborations and partnerships to improve gender equity in workplaces.

“I’m honoured to lead SAGE in the next phase of its growth journey working with the team under the leadership of Chair Libby Lyons and the SAGE board,” said Dr Bredehoeft.

“The outgoing CEO, Dr Wafa El-Adhami, has left a fantastic legacy. I’m looking forward to building on the success of SAGE and to working with its community to help deliver on the Government’s gender equity agenda.”

Lyons extends her gratitude to Dr El-Adhami for her service to SAGE since 2016.

“I’d like to thank Dr El-Adhami for her inspirational leadership of SAGE, positioning it as a national transformation program and building its international reputation and network of partners. We wish Wafa all the very best for the future.”

Dr El-Adhami shares her pride in the organisation’s achievements and credits her team for SAGE’s successes over the last six years.

About Dr Janin Bredehoeft

Dr Bredehoeft completed her PhD at the University of Sydney in 2019, analysing the developments of academic labour markets in Germany and Australia.

In her former role as Research and Analytics Executive Manager at the Workplace Gender Equality Agency, Dr Bredehoeft led a team responsible for data management, analysis and benchmarking, as well as the research and education function of the agency.
