This document is a summary of the Australian Institute of Marine Science’s application for a SAGE Cygnet Award, which recognises institutions’ progress toward gender equity, diversity, and inclusion.

It highlights AIMS’s work to deepen and strengthen Indigenous Partnerships, building respectful, reciprocal relationships with Traditional Owners and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. These efforts aim to embed Indigenous knowledges, voices, and leadership in the institute’s research, governance, and operations.
