Many leaders want to advance gender equity, diversity and inclusion (GEDI). What’s often missing isn’t intent but the practical know-how to turn it into action, especially when barriers show up in subtle, everyday ways that are easy to miss and hard to name.

That’s what this workshop is for. In one day, alongside other leaders from across the tertiary education and research sector, you’ll strengthen your commitment, your knowledge and your know-how, and leave with ideas you can put to work in your own sphere of influence.

You’ll be better able to:

  • understand the legal and social context you lead in
  • recognise the barriers that get in the way
  • identify concrete actions within your sphere of influence, and who to bring with you

This page brings together the preparation to do beforehand and the resources to keep you going afterwards.

Pre-workshop learning

A little preparation makes the day richer for everyone. This pre-workshop learning should take no more than an hour, and likely less than that. It gives us a shared starting point, so we can spend our time together on discussion and practical activities.
