“You need to have the greatest minds to embrace human potential,” she says, and that means embracing human differences.
CSIRO’s Diversity and Inclusion Strategy is at the heart of their entire operations. “We are really aware of having gender equality in everything we do,” says Dr Foley. The organisation received its SAGE Athena Swan Bronze award in December 2018, and Dr Foley is leading the implementation of its Action Plan.
